Getting from Tinos to Mykonos

If you are heading to Mykonos from Tinos you are making your way from the most venerated pilgrimage island in the Cyclades to the most cosmopolitan island in the same group, just a short distance away. It has a maze of whitewashed lanes above the port, long beaches on the south coast and some of the best beach clubs in Greece.

Take the ferry

There is a direct ferry from Tinos to Mykonos running multiple times daily in summer, taking around 20 to 35 minutes. It is one of the shortest and most frequent ferry connections in the Cyclades and runs year-round with reduced frequency in winter. The two islands sit so close together that Mykonos is visible from Tinos on a clear day and the crossing is effortless at any time of year.

Getting there by air

Mykonos has an international airport with daily connections from Athens. Tinos has no airport. The direct ferry from Tinos to Mykonos is considerably more practical than flying for this short island hop given the crossing time of around 20 to 35 minutes. In Greece, airlines do not operate direct inter island flights.
