Solmeister, born Manolis Solidakis on August 1, 1992, in Marousi, Athens, has family roots in Crete. His stage name was inspired by the character Stiffmeister from the "American Pie" film franchise. He attended Doukas School, a private high school in Athens, before studying Film and Critical History of Cinema at the University of Sussex in the United Kingdom.
