About the Beach

Agia Patrikia is a peaceful and very traditional beach located on the northern coast of Kythira, offering a quiet alternative to the busier southern resorts. It is a long, narrow shore with small pebbles and exceptionally calm and shallow water, making it a safe and easy choice for families and casual swimmers. The beach is lined with a few traditional houses and small boats, reflecting the island’s authentic maritime and rural character. There is very little organization here, so the vibe remains understated and local. The clarity of the water is excellent, and the views of the sea toward the mainland are very beautiful. It is an ideal spot for a quick dip or a relaxed afternoon where you can enjoy the silence and the simple beauty of the Aegean without any modern distractions. The atmosphere is slow and respectful, capturing the essence of life on Kythira.
