About the Beach

Caldera Beach is a unique swimming spot located below Akrotiri, offering a rare beach experience on the inner side of the caldera. It features a mix of dark sand and pebbles with clear water that provides a direct view of the volcano and the cliffs of Fira and Oia. The beach is partially organized with a diving center and a traditional taverna, but it remains much quieter than the resort beaches of the south.
