About the Beach

Gaidouromantra is a magnificent and very secluded beach located on the southeastern coast of Kythnos, offering some of the most luminous turquoise water on the entire island. The beach is split by a small rocky pier, and both sides feature soft sand and exceptionally clear, shallow entries. Because it is located away from the main villages and requires a journey along a dirt road, it remains a sanctuary for those looking to escape the crowds. The surrounding landscape is arid and typical of the Cyclades, providing a bright and powerful aesthetic. There are no facilities or commercial activities here, so the vibe is entirely natural and focused on the quality of the swimming environment. It is widely considered one of the island's high-quality gems, where the transparency of the sea is so perfect that it feels like a giant natural swimming pool. It is a place of absolute light and silence.
