About the Beach

Kanala is a picturesque and very popular beach located in the namesake village on the southeastern coast, famous for its lush pine forest that reaches almost to the water's edge. The beach is sandy and features very clear, shallow water that is a brilliant shade of turquoise. It is a well-organized destination with sunbeds and is surrounded by a wide variety of traditional tavernas and shops, making it a very practical and beautiful choice for a day by the sea. The presence of the Panagia Kanala church on the nearby promontory adds a sense of cultural and spiritual significance to the landscape. The combination of the green pines, the white-washed architecture, and the blue sea creates a very scenic and quintessentially Greek backdrop. It is a fantastic choice for those who want a comfortable and beautiful beach experience in one of the island's most vibrant and visually striking areas.
