About the Beach
Kinira Beach is a long and peaceful coastal stretch on the eastern coast of Thassos, consisting of two distinct beaches divided by a small rocky cape. It features a mix of smooth white pebbles and sand with clear blue water that is a shade of turquoise. The beach is mostly unorganized and maintains a raw, quiet character that is a choice for those who want to escape the crowded resort areas of the island. Large pine and olive trees grow near the water, providing a green and shaded environment. The water is clean and the entry is via a zone of stones followed by a sandy bottom. It is a destination for nature lovers who appreciate the silence and the view of the small, green islet of Kinira just offshore. Access is easy from the main road of the village. The atmosphere is relaxed and reflects the slow rhythm of the island life. You should bring your own supplies if you move away from the small hotel sections. It is a part of the coast.
