About the Beach
Livadi Beach is a spectacular and secluded beach located on the southern coast of Thassos, tucked into a deep bay right below the famous Monastery of Archangel Michael. It features a shore of fine pebbles and sand with intense emerald and turquoise water that is exceptionally clear. The beach is partially organized with some sunbeds and umbrellas, but it maintains a raw and majestic character due to the high rocky cliffs that surround the cove. The surrounding landscape is rugged and green, providing a sense of protection and a dramatic backdrop for a swim. Access is via a winding road from the main coastal highway, followed by a short walk to the water. The water is deep and fresh, offering a powerful swimming experience in a quiet setting. It is a destination for nature lovers who appreciate the silence and the stunning geological features of the coastline. You should bring your own supplies if you plan to stay away from the small bar area. The atmosphere is quiet and reflects the natural beauty.
