About the Beach

Megalo Seitani is the largest and most remote sandy beach on Samos, located on the wild northwest coast. It is a protected area for the monk seal and features fine sand and deep blue water. Like its smaller neighbor, it is only accessible by boat or a long hike through the forest, which keeps the crowds away. The beach is entirely unorganized and has a raw, majestic character that is rare for the island. The surrounding cliffs are high and provide a grand frame to the wide horizon of the Aegean. It is a destination for those who want to experience the natural state of the coast in total silence. The water is exceptionally clean and the sand is soft. You must be prepared with all your own supplies for the journey. It is a sanctuary for nature lovers who value the beauty of the sea. The light on the water is very bright and the air is fresh.
