Martyrdom During the Roman Persecutions

During the persecutions ordered by Emperor Diocletian, St. Theopemptos was arrested because of his Christian faith. According to Christian tradition, he was subjected to torture in an attempt to force him to renounce Christianity.

He refused to abandon his beliefs and remained steadfast in his faith. Because of this, he was ultimately executed and came to be honored as a martyr of the Church.
