About Electra Palace Athens
Electra Palace sits on Nikodimou Street in Plaka, the old neighbourhood below the Acropolis, with the shops and cafes of the centre a few minutes away. The building's neoclassical style blends in with the old mansions around it. Inside you will find custom-made furniture, marble bathrooms and a quiet internal garden. The front desk and concierge are open 24 hours, and services include turndown, a pillow menu, room service, babysitting on request and airport or port transfers.
Rooms and suites
All rooms have soundproof double glazing, individual climate control, a Nespresso machine and a marble bathroom with a walk-in rain shower. Classic Guest Rooms range from 15 to 28 sq m and come as singles, doubles or triples with a sofa bed, so they suit solo travellers and small families on a budget. If you want a quieter outlook, the Superior Garden View Rooms (about 23 sq m, 1st and 2nd floors) and Premium Garden View Rooms (about 23 sq m, 3rd and 4th floors) look over the hotel garden.
For the Acropolis, book a Premium Room with Acropolis View (22 to 24 sq m), some of which have a balcony. The Junior Suites, at 28 to 34 sq m for up to three guests, have an open-plan sitting area facing either the Acropolis or the garden. The Suites with Acropolis View and Balcony are one-bedroom suites of 28 to 40 sq m, with a living room and sofa bed. The 50 sq m Presidential Suite is on the fourth floor and has a king bed and a terrace with its own outdoor pool facing the Acropolis. Baby cots are available on request.
