About The Dolli at Acropolis, A Hotel to Live
The Dolli is Grecotel's hotel on Mitropoleos Street, between Syntagma and Monastiraki, with Plaka a short stroll away. It occupies a restored landmark building designed by a leading Greek architect more than 100 years ago. Inside, it feels like a private Athenian residence, with custom-made furniture, natural fabrics and an art collection that includes pieces by Picasso, Cocteau and the Lalannes. There is a 24-hour reception, turndown service and 24-hour room service, and the concierge arranges guides, boat trips and helicopter excursions.
Rooms and suites
Every room has a marble bathroom with a walk-in rain shower and a custom-made personal bar with a free coffee and tea station. Bijou and Athenian Rooms measure 22 to 25 sq m and look over the city or the inner atrium. Deluxe Rooms are 26 to 30 sq m, some with a balcony, and the 33 sq m Grand Deluxe Room suits guests with limited mobility. Junior Suites of 36 to 39 sq m add a sitting area or desk, and the Metropolis Junior Suite is the only room that takes an extra bed for a child.
The Acropolis Junior Suites (30 to 33 sq m) and Acropolis Luxury Junior Suites (34 sq m) sit only on the third and fourth floors and face the Parthenon; the Luxury versions add an oversized bathtub with the same view. Families and groups can choose apartments from the 63 sq m two-bedroom Acropolis Apartment and 50 to 73 sq m Family Apartments up to the 105 sq m Acropolis Supreme and the 171 sq m Acropolis Grand Apartment for up to eight adults. Cots and baby equipment are free.
Pool and breakfast
The heated infinity pool is on the roof and faces the Acropolis. It is reserved for hotel guests from 11am to 7pm, with snacks, cocktails and free fruit and frozen yoghurt at the loungers. In the evening it opens to outside visitors for drinks and sushi. There is no traditional spa, but there is a 24-hour gym with a sauna, and in-room wellness treatments can be arranged.
Every booking includes breakfast at DOLLI.S, the fifth-floor rooftop restaurant facing the Parthenon, the Ancient Agora and Philopappos Hill. It serves Greek and international dishes at lunch and dinner, with a DJ night on Thursdays. Inside, Le Salon serves coffee, wine and patisserie from 11am to 11pm, and Le Bar Secret, a hidden library bar, offers cocktails, rare spirits and afternoon tea from 10am to 11pm.
