Where Should I Stay on Telendos?

Telendos keeps the decision simple, since the island's single village holds every guesthouse and studio available, all within a few minutes of the harbor.

Telendos's village, right at the water taxi landing, gives the only real base, with simple, family-run rooms and studios set among tavernas and the ruins of ancient Pothaia visible in the channel nearby. Staying here puts the island's beaches, the climb to Agios Georgios chapel, and the fortified settlement of Agios Konstantinos all within walking distance, since Telendos has no roads or cars to worry about.

A handful of properties sit closer to Hohlakas Beach, a short walk from the harbor, giving travelers who want to wake up nearer the water a slightly quieter option while staying within the same small settlement.

Accommodation here stays intentionally modest, mostly simple studios and guesthouses rather than large hotels, so booking ahead matters, especially since many visitors still treat Telendos as a day trip from Kalymnos rather than a place to stay overnight.

Once a stay is arranged, hotels and places to stay on Telendos cover the village and the properties near Hohlakas, and staying the night, rather than catching the last water taxi back, is what lets the island's quiet fully take hold once the day-trippers head back across the channel.

Telendos connects to Kalymnos by a short water taxi from Myrties, running roughly every half hour, so it's worth taking a moment to check ferry schedules and book tickets if arriving during peak season. The village suits every traveler, since it's the island's only real option, and an overnight stay gives Telendos's climbing routes, ruins, and quiet evenings the time they deserve.
