Getting from Aegina to Agistri

If you are heading to Agistri from Aegina you are making one of the shortest hops in the Saronic Gulf, to a neighbouring island almost entirely covered in pine forest with good beaches and clear water.

Take the ferry

There is a direct ferry from Aegina to Agistri running throughout the day year-round, taking as little as 10 minutes on the fast flying dolphin and around 20 minutes on the conventional ferry. Aegina is actually the only island directly connected to Agistri without going through Piraeus. The service runs hourly in summer and you can buy tickets on the day without booking in advance.

Getting there by air

Agistri has no airport. The ferry from Aegina is the only option and at 10 minutes it is one of the shortest island connections in Greece.

Your best option

Take the direct ferry from Aegina. It is fast, frequent and one of the easiest island hops in the Saronic Gulf. If you are travelling with a car, the conventional ferry takes vehicles across in around 20 minutes.
