Getting from Aegina to Chios
If you are heading to Chios from Aegina you are making your way to one of the most overlooked islands in Greece, famous above all for its mastic trees in the south of the island that produce a resin found nowhere else on earth.

The most practical ferry approach is to take the Saronic ferry from Aegina to Piraeus, which takes around 40 minutes to 1 hour 20 minutes, and then board the Piraeus to Chios ferry, which runs 3 times a week and takes around 9 hours. Total journey time by this route is around 10 to 11 hours.
