Getting from Agathonisi to Paros

If you are heading to Paros from Agathonisi you are making your way from the northern Dodecanese group to the hub of the Cyclades, on the opposite side of the Aegean. It has one of the most beautiful small harbor villages in Greece at Naoussa, long sandy beaches on the west coast and a position at the centre of the island ferry network.

Take the ferry

There is no direct ferry from Agathonisi to Paros. Getting there means taking the local ferry from Agathonisi to Leros or Samos, flying to Athens and then taking the Piraeus to Paros ferry, which runs up to 6 daily departures in summer and takes around 2 hours 40 minutes on the fast catamaran and 4 to 5 hours on a conventional vessel.

Getting there by air

Paros has a small airstrip but no commercial scheduled flights operate there in 2026. The most practical flying option is to take the local ferry from Agathonisi to Leros or Samos, fly to Athens and take the ferry from Piraeus. Total journey time is around 6 to 7 hours. In Greece, airlines do not operate direct inter island flights.

Your best option

Take the local ferry from Agathonisi to Leros or Samos, fly to Athens and take the Piraeus to Paros ferry. It is the most practical approach. If you are traveling with a car, the conventional ferry from Piraeus takes your vehicle directly to Parikia port in the centre of the island.
