Getting from Agistri to Paros

If you are heading to Paros from Agistri you are making your way from a small pine-covered island in the Saronic Gulf to the hub of the Cyclades. It has one of the most beautiful small harbour villages in Greece at Naoussa, long sandy beaches on the west coast and a position at the centre of the island ferry network.

Take the ferry

There is no direct ferry from Agistri to Paros. The most practical approach is to take the Saronic ferry from Agistri to Piraeus, which takes around 55 minutes to 1 hour 35 minutes, and then board the Piraeus to Paros ferry, which runs multiple daily departures in summer with the fast catamaran taking around 2 hours 45 minutes and conventional ferries taking around 4 to 5 hours. Total journey time from Agistri is around 4 to 7 hours depending on the vessel. Book ahead in July and August as this is one of the most popular routes in the Cyclades.

Getting there by air

Paros has a small airstrip but no commercial scheduled flights operate there as of 2026. The ferry from Piraeus is the only realistic option and is considerably more practical given the direct delivery to Parikia port in the centre of the island.

Your best option

Take the Saronic ferry from Agistri to Piraeus and board the Piraeus to Paros ferry. The fast catamaran at around 2 hours 45 minutes makes for a very manageable total journey from Agistri. If you are traveling with a car, the conventional ferry from Piraeus takes your vehicle directly to Parikia port.
