Getting from Alexandroupoli to Piraeus

If you are heading to Piraeus from Alexandroupoli you are making your way from the far northeastern corner of Greece to the largest port in the country and the gateway to Athens and the wider ferry network.

Fly from Alexandroupoli to Athens and take the metro directly to Piraeus. It is the fastest and most practical approach. If you are traveling with a car, drive from Alexandroupoli to Athens via the Egnatia motorway and E75, which takes around 8 to 9 hours, and then continue to Piraeus from there.
