Getting from Antiparos to Anafi

If you are heading to Anafi from Antiparos you are making your way from a small quiet island in the Cyclades to one of the most remote islands in the group, in the southern Aegean. It has a monolithic rock rising 460 metres from the sea and almost no tourist infrastructure.

Take the ferry

There is a seasonal direct ferry from Antiparos to Anafi running in summer on the wider Blue Star and Seajets routes. The service runs a limited number of times per week and takes around 6 to 10 hours with stops along the way through Paros, Naxos and Santorini. The more practical approach is to take the short ferry from Antiparos to Paros, continue south through the Cyclades to Santorini and then take the short ferry from Santorini to Anafi, which takes around 1 hour 15 minutes and runs several times a week in summer.

Getting there by air

Anafi has no airport. The nearest airport is Santorini. Antiparos has no airport either. Taking the short ferry from Antiparos to Paros, continuing south to Santorini and then taking the short ferry to Anafi keeps the journey entirely within the Cyclades and avoids Athens entirely. In Greece, airlines do not operate direct inter island flights.

Your best option

Take the short ferry from Antiparos to Paros, continue south through the Cyclades to Santorini and take the short ferry across to Anafi. It keeps the entire journey within the Cyclades and avoids Athens entirely. Come with everything you need as the island has almost no facilities and that is entirely the point of going.
