Getting from Antiparos to Paros

If you are heading to Paros from Antiparos you are making the most effortless connection from the island, to the hub of the Cyclades just across a narrow channel to the east. Paros has one of the most beautiful small harbour villages in Greece at Naoussa, long sandy beaches on the west coast and a position at the centre of the island ferry network.

 

Take the ferry

The Antiparos to Paros ferry runs year-round from Pounta port on a 7 minute crossing every 30 minutes in summer and less frequently in winter. Tickets are sold on board and no advance booking is needed or available. Cash only. A second option is the direct passenger boat from Antiparos Town to Parikia, which takes around 30 minutes and runs 4 to 6 times daily in summer. Both options are effortless and you never need to plan around them in summer.

 

Getting there by air

Paros has a small airstrip but no commercial scheduled flights operate there as of 2026. The ferry is the only realistic option and at 7 minutes from Pounta it is one of the shortest crossings in the Cyclades.

 

Your best option

Take the Pounta to Parikia ferry. At 7 minutes it is one of the most effortless island connections in Greece and runs every 30 minutes throughout the day in summer. If you are traveling with a car, the Pounta ferry takes vehicles across without advance booking though in peak season you may need to wait for the next departure if it is full.
