Getting from Antiparos to Tilos

If you are heading to Tilos from Antiparos you are making your way from a small quiet island in the Cyclades to an island in the Dodecanese group, the first island in the Mediterranean to run entirely on renewable energy with good walking trails and a wild coastline.

Take the ferry

There is no direct ferry from Antiparos to Tilos. Antiparos is connected only to Paros by a 7 minute ferry from Pounta running every 30 minutes in summer. Getting to Tilos means taking the short ferry from Antiparos to Paros, making your way to Piraeus and flying to Rhodes or Kos via Athens, followed by the local ferry to Tilos. From Rhodes the ferry takes around 2 to 3 hours and from Kos around 2 hours.

Getting there by air

Tilos has no airport. The nearest airports are Rhodes and Kos. Antiparos has no airport either. Taking the short ferry from Antiparos to Paros, making your way to Piraeus and flying to Rhodes via Athens, followed by the local ferry from Rhodes to Tilos, gives a total journey time of around 7 to 8 hours. In Greece, airlines do not operate direct inter island flights.

Your best option

Take the short ferry from Antiparos to Paros, make your way to Piraeus and fly to Rhodes or Kos via Athens, then take the local ferry across to Tilos. Check the Rhodes or Kos to Tilos schedule before booking your flights as the service does not run daily. If you are traveling with a car, take the short ferry from Antiparos to Paros, drive to Piraeus and board the overnight Piraeus to Tilos ferry, which takes your vehicle.
