Getting from Antiparos to Zakynthos

If you are heading to Zakynthos from Antiparos you are making your way from a small quiet island in the Cyclades to one of the most beautiful of the Ionian islands, on the opposite side of Greece. It has Navagio Beach, the shipwreck cove with towering white cliffs and turquoise water that is one of the most photographed places in the Mediterranean.

Take the ferry

There is no direct ferry from Antiparos to Zakynthos. No Aegean island is connected by sea to any Ionian island. Antiparos is connected only to Paros by a 7 minute ferry from Pounta running every 30 minutes in summer. Getting to Zakynthos means taking the short ferry from Antiparos to Paros, making your way to Piraeus and then either flying to Zakynthos via Athens or taking the KTEL bus and ferry combination via Kyllini on the western Peloponnese, with the ferry from Kyllini to Zakynthos taking around 1 hour 15 minutes.

Getting there by air

Zakynthos has an international airport with connections from Athens. Antiparos has no airport either. Taking the short ferry from Antiparos to Paros, making your way to Piraeus and flying to Zakynthos via Athens takes around 50 to 55 minutes on the second leg. Total journey time is around 6 to 7 hours. In Greece, airlines do not operate direct inter island flights.

Your best option

Take the short ferry from Antiparos to Paros, make your way to Piraeus and fly to Zakynthos via Athens. It is the fastest and most practical approach. If you are traveling with a car, take the short ferry from Antiparos to Paros and drive to Kyllini for the ferry across to Zakynthos, which at around 1 hour 15 minutes is a short and frequent connection.
