Getting from Paros to Poros

If you are heading to Poros from Paros you are making your way from the Cyclades to the Saronic Gulf, a small island separated from the Peloponnese by a channel so narrow you can hear voices across the water.

Take the ferry

There is no direct ferry from Paros to Poros. Getting there means taking the ferry from Paros to Piraeus and then connecting onto the Saronic ferry from Piraeus to Poros, which takes around 50 minutes to just over an hour with up to 6 daily departures.

Getting there by air

Poros has no airport. The nearest airport is Athens. Flying from Paros to Athens takes around 45 minutes and then the Saronic ferry from Piraeus to Poros takes around 50 minutes to just over an hour. Total travel time is around 3 to 4 hours.

Your best option

Fly to Athens and take the Saronic ferry from Piraeus to Poros. It is faster than the full ferry route from Paros via Piraeus and gets you on the island in under 4 hours.
