Getting from Paros to Rafina
If you are heading to Rafina from Paros you are making your way to the second most important ferry port serving Athens, the closest port to Athens Airport and the departure point for ferries to Andros, Tinos and Mykonos.
Take the ferry
There is a direct ferry from Paros to Rafina running several times a week in summer, taking around 4 to 5 hours. The route is not year-round so check the schedule before planning around it. Outside of the summer season the connection goes via Piraeus.
Getting there by air
Rafina has no airport. The nearest airport is Athens International, around 25 kilometres to the southwest. Flying from Paros to Athens takes around 45 minutes and then a taxi or bus to Rafina takes around 30 minutes. Total travel time is around 2 to 3 hours.
Your best option
Fly to Athens and take a taxi or bus directly to Rafina from the airport. It is faster than the seasonal ferry and drops you close to the ferry terminal. If the direct summer ferry works for your dates and you are not in a hurry it is a pleasant alternative.
