Getting from Spetses to Agistri
If you are heading to Agistri from Spetses you are making your way from one car-free island in the Saronic Gulf to another small pine-covered island in the same gulf, to the north. It is almost entirely covered in forest with good beaches and clear water close to Athens.
Take the ferry
There is a direct ferry from Spetses to Agistri running as part of the Saronic island circuit, taking around 1.5 to 2 hours via Hydra and Poros. It keeps the journey entirely within the Saronic Gulf without going through Athens or Piraeus. Alternatively take the Saronic ferry from Spetses to Piraeus and board the Piraeus to Agistri ferry, which takes around 55 minutes to 1 hour 35 minutes and runs up to 15 times daily in summer.
Getting there by air
Agistri has no airport. The nearest airport is Athens. Spetses has no airport. The nearest airport is also Athens. The direct Saronic ferry connection is considerably more practical than flying for this within-Saronic Gulf connection. In Greece, airlines do not operate direct inter island flights.
Your best option
Take the direct Saronic ferry from Spetses to Agistri via Hydra and Poros. It keeps the journey entirely within the Saronic Gulf and avoids Athens and Piraeus entirely. Check the schedule before traveling as departure times vary by season. Note that Spetses is car-free so all passengers travel as foot passengers on this connection.
