Getting from Tinos to Agistri

If you are heading to Agistri from Tinos you are making your way from the most venerated pilgrimage island in the Cyclades to a small pine-covered island in the Saronic Gulf, on the opposite side of Greece. It is almost entirely covered in forest with good beaches and clear water close to Athens.

Take the ferry

There is no direct ferry from Tinos to Agistri. Getting there means taking the ferry from Tinos to Piraeus, which runs daily and takes around 2.5 to 4.5 hours, and then boarding the Saronic ferry from Piraeus to Agistri, which takes around 55 minutes to 1 hour 35 minutes with up to 15 daily departures in summer. It is a straightforward two-step connection with Piraeus serving as the natural hub between the two islands.

Getting there by air

Agistri has no airport. The nearest airport is Athens. Tinos has no airport. The nearest airport is Mykonos. Taking the ferry from Tinos to Piraeus and then boarding the Saronic ferry to Agistri gives a total journey time of around 4 to 7 hours. In Greece, airlines do not operate direct inter island flights.

Your best option

Take the ferry from Tinos to Piraeus and board the Saronic ferry to Agistri. With up to 15 daily departures in summer you never need to book the Piraeus to Agistri connection in advance. Plan your Tinos departure around your Piraeus arrival to avoid a long wait at the port. If you are traveling with a car, the conventional ferry from Piraeus takes your vehicle directly across to Agistri.
