Maria Farantouri

Maria Farantouri is an international symbol of Greek struggle and freedom. As the primary muse of Mikis Theodorakis, her deep, majestic contralto became the soundtrack to the anti-junta movement. In 2025, she performed a historic concert at the Parthenon. By 2026, she is regarded as the "Soul of Greece," a living legend who has elevated Greek music to the world’s most prestigious stages, from Lincoln Center to the Paris Opera.
