About
Vicky Moscholiou was one of the most distinctive female vocalists in Greek music, known for her unique, husky timbre and her collaborations with the greatest composers like Stavros Xarchakos and Dimos Moutsis. She became the voice of the 1960s and 70s Athenian sophisticated nightlife. Even years after her passing, her songs like "Ximeroni Kyriaki" remain etched in the national consciousness. In 2025, a street in Athens was named in her honor, and by 2026, she is remembered as a pioneering woman who brought a new level of emotional depth and "urban cool" to the Laïkó genre.
Diaspora Impact
A nostalgic treasure for the diaspora worldwide; her voice represents the stylish and soulful Athens of the mid-20th century.
