About the Beach

Afandou is one of the longest beaches on Rhodes, featuring a mix of sand and fine pebbles and crystalline turquoise waters that deepen abruptly. It is located on the eastern side of the island and hardly ever looks crowded because of its massive size. Some parts are well-organized with umbrellas and water sports facilities, while other sections remain raw and quiet. The beach is situated next to a professional golf course and is easily accessible by car. It is a destination for those who want to enjoy the sea in a spacious environment. Several traditional fish tavernas are located along the coast, offering local food by the water. The entry into the sea can be pebbly, so care is needed when walking. It is a spot that feels open and bright, with a wide horizon. It is a central part of the island.
