About the Beach

Agios Stefanos on Lesvos is a very picturesque and quiet pebbly beach located on the northeastern coast, near the village of Mantamados. It is known for its tranquil environment and its exceptionally clear, deep blue water that is perfect for long, undisturbed swims. The beach is situated in a small bay that is often used by local fishing boats, providing a very authentic and traditional maritime atmosphere. It is an unorganized spot with a very raw and natural feel, surrounded by olive groves and rugged hills. There is a small, traditional taverna nearby where you can enjoy local island dishes right by the sea. It is an ideal destination for those who want to escape the more commercialized resort areas and experience the quiet, unpreturbed beauty of the Aegean. The transparency of the water is world-class, offering great visibility for underwater exploration.
