The beach is entirely unorganized and maintains a raw, pristine character, with a few tamarisk trees providing the only source of natural shade along the back of the sand. The surrounding landscape is dry and rocky, providing a simple and dramatic frame to the coast. It is a destination for nature lovers and adventurers who want to experience the island in its most natural and silent form away from the modern resort hubs. The water is shallow near the shore and the entry is very easy for all swimmers, providing a safe environment for a long soak. Access is via a relatively long walking path from the main village or by boat, which helps keep the atmosphere quiet and respectful even during the peak summer months.
