About the Beach

Balos Beach is a small and very quiet swimming spot located on the western coast of Paxos, accessible only by boat. It features a rocky shore and exceptionally clear turquoise water that is deep and fresh, making it a premier spot for snorkeling and diving. There is no traditional sandy beach, but the surrounding white cliffs and caves provide a dramatic and private environment for a swim. The beach is entirely unorganized and maintains a raw character, offering a sense of total freedom and isolation. The water is deep and offers a powerful swimming experience in a setting of high rocks and green vegetation. It is a spot where you can see the geological side of Paxos from sea level. You must bring all your own supplies for the day. The atmosphere is quiet and reflects the wild nature of the western coast. It is a destination for those who want to find a private and silent corner.
