About the Beach

Marmari is a quiet and picturesque pebbly beach on the eastern coast of Paxos. It features exceptionally clear, emerald water and a shore made of white stones. The beach is surrounded by olive trees that grow almost down to the water, providing some natural shade during the day. It is an unorganized spot with a very peaceful and traditional Ionian character. The water is deep and fresh, making it a great destination for snorkeling and long swims. Access is via a scenic walking path from the nearby village of Loggos. It is a spot for those who want to avoid the crowds and enjoy the simple harmony of the sea and the trees. The atmosphere is restorative and quiet. The entry into the water can be rocky, so it is best for confident swimmers. It is a part of the coast that shows the green and blue beauty of the island.
