About the Beach
Barbati Beach is a long and impressive beach made of shiny white pebbles that sits right at the bottom of the tallest mountain in Corfu, which is called Mount Pantokrator. Because the beach is made of stones instead of sand, the water stays incredibly clear and bright blue even when there are lots of people swimming, so you can see all the way to the bottom without any trouble. It is a very popular spot because it has a lot of space and the view of the big green mountain rising up behind you while you are in the water is really spectacular and makes the beach feel very grand. There are plenty of fun beach bars with music and comfy sunbeds, and because the water is so clean and deep, it is a favorite place for people who love to swim long distances or go snorkeling to see the schools of fish.
