About the Beach
Bouros is a fantastic sandy spot at the eastern edge of Karystos bay that manages to feel both organized and a little bit wild. It’s famous for some really interesting rock formations and a bronze statue of a man and a dolphin that stands near the water, giving the beach a very distinct and artistic character. The sand is soft and golden, and the water is exceptionally clear, which makes it a top choice for a long day in the sun. There’s a popular beach bar that keeps the music and drinks flowing, but the shore is long enough that you can still find a quieter patch of sand if you want to relax. The view looking back toward the town of Karystos is beautiful, especially in the late afternoon when the light turns everything a soft, glowing gold.
