About the Beach

Kalamos is a place that feels like it was designed by an artist. It’s actually a double beach, separated by a large rocky outcrop, so you can choose between two different coves depending on the mood of the sea. The water is a brilliant turquoise, so clear that the boats in the bay look like they’re floating in mid-air. The shore is made of fine white pebbles and sand, which gives the water its tropical glow. It’s a very popular spot because of its sheer beauty, and there are several small tavernas right on the sand that serve amazing local food. Despite being a favorite for many, it manages to keep a very traditional and welcoming feel. It’s the kind of beach you see on a postcard and think it can’t possibly be that blue in person, but it actually is.
