About the Beach
Chalikiada Beach is a dramatic coastal stretch situated on the eastern side of the island near the village of Skala. It is framed by high vertical limestone cliffs and a dense pine forest that overlooks the sea providing a sense of total isolation. Access to the shoreline requires a trek along a steep and narrow rocky path through the woods which has helped the area maintain its reputation as a wild and unorganized destination. According to local resources and travel data it is a well known spot for free camping and naturism due to its raw and untouched character. The landscape remains entirely in its natural state with no commercial infrastructure or man made interventions.
