About the Beach

Chiliadou Beach is perhaps one of the most famous and visually dramatic beaches in all of Evia, sitting on the wild eastern side of the island where it faces the powerful waves of the open Aegean Sea. It is framed by massive, towering cliffs and lush mountains that dive straight into the deep blue water, creating a landscape that feels majestic and raw. The shore is covered in large pebbles and sand, and the water gets deep very quickly, which is perfect for those who enjoy a more vigorous and natural swimming experience. Because it is so large, different sections of the beach cater to different groups, including a well known area for campers and nature lovers. The wind can be quite strong here, and the scenery is often compared to a movie set because of the massive rocks rising from the sea and the green peaks standing guard above the coast.
