About the Beach

Desimi is a very picturesque and well-sheltered beach located in a deep, narrow bay on the eastern coast of Lefkada. It features a pebbly shore with incredibly calm and clear emerald water, surrounded by dense olive groves and lush green hills. Because the bay is so protected, it is a favorite for those who enjoy exploring the coastline by kayak or small motorboat, with many sea caves found nearby. The beach is partially organized with a few tavernas and campsites, giving it a very relaxed and traditional holiday feel. The water is shallow and warm, making it an ideal choice for families with children. It is a very scenic and quiet destination that captures the lush, verdant character of the island’s protected eastern bays. The clarity of the water is exceptional, and the atmosphere is consistently peaceful and restorative, offering a perfect escape from the more exposed western beaches.
