About the Beach

Avali is a hidden and very laid-back beach on the western coast near Kalamitsi, known for its soft sand and a very cool, alternative vibe. It features the same spectacular turquoise water as the more famous western beaches but feels much more personal and less commercialized. The beach is partially organized with a legendary small beach bar that plays relaxed music and serves local snacks, creating a very friendly and welcoming environment. The water is deep and clear, perfect for a refreshing swim among the scattered rocks. Access is via a narrow and steep road, which helps keep the atmosphere quiet and local. It is an ideal destination for those who want to experience the beauty of the western coastline in a more intimate and down-to-earth setting. The sunsets here are particularly beautiful, coloring the wild horizon in soft shades of orange and pink.
