About the Beach

Gialos is one of the longest and most expansive beaches on the western coast of Lefkada, offering a wild and powerful landscape of white pebbles and electric blue water. Because of its massive size, it is the perfect destination for those who want to avoid the crowds and find a quiet, unorganized spot even in the peak of summer. The water gets deep very quickly and often features impressive waves, providing an invigorating and grand swimming experience. Access is via a long, winding road that offers spectacular views of the Ionian Sea. While there are a few small canteens and some organized sunbeds at the entrance, most of the beach remains raw and natural. The scale of the surrounding cliffs and the open horizon create a sense of total freedom. It is a place of absolute light and powerful natural beauty.
