About the Beach

Eftalou is a unique and very scenic coastal area located a few kilometers from Molyvos, famous for its natural hot springs and its rugged pebbly beaches. The shore features a mix of large pebbles and dark sand, leading into very deep and crystalline water that is exceptionally refreshing. A historic domed bathhouse stands at the edge of the sea, where visitors can soak in the therapeutic thermal water before jumping into the cool Aegean. The beach is mostly unorganized and wild, preserving a very raw and peaceful character that attracts those seeking wellness and solitude. The views across the channel to the Turkish coast are spectacular. It is a fantastic destination for an invigorating and health-focused day by the water. The combination of the hot springs and the clear, deep sea makes it a very special and memorable location on Lesvos.
