About the Beach

Finiki is a small and very charming sandy beach located in a traditional fishing village on the southwestern coast of the island. The water is shallow, calm, and very clear, making it an excellent choice for families with young children or those who prefer a gentle swim. The beach is right next to the village's small harbor, where you can watch the colorful fishing boats come and go throughout the day. It is well-known for the excellent seafood tavernas that line the waterfront, allowing you to move easily from a swim to a fresh local meal. The atmosphere is very friendly and local, providing a much slower pace than the main tourist centers. It is a very accessible and practical spot that offers a beautiful sunset view over the neighboring island of Kasos. The village itself has a rich maritime history, which adds a layer of character to your visit.
