About the Beach

Lefkos consists of three beautiful, interconnected sandy bays that offer some of the best swimming conditions on the western coast of Karpathos. The main beach features soft, white sand and very calm, shallow water that is perfectly protected from the winds by the surrounding hills. It is a well-organized destination with plenty of tavernas, cafes, and sunbeds, making it a favorite for families and long-stay visitors. The village has a very relaxed and friendly atmosphere, where everything is within walking distance of the shore. The views of the small islet of Sokastro and the distant mountains of the island create a stunning backdrop for a day in the sun. It is a very consistent and high-quality destination that offers a perfect mix of natural beauty and traditional village hospitality. The sunsets here are among the most beautiful in the Dodecanese, lighting up the entire bay in gold.
