About the Beach

Kamari is a large and very beautiful bay located at the western end of Kos, serving as the main beach for the village of Kefalos. It is a long stretch of sand and pebbles known for its exceptionally clean and cool water, which is often much more refreshing than on the rest of the island. The beach is well-organized with plenty of sunbeds, traditional tavernas, and a wide variety of water sports centers. The bay is very scenic, offering views of the small islet of Kastri and the rugged cliffs of the peninsula. It is a very popular destination for both locals and travelers, yet its size ensures that there is always plenty of room. The atmosphere is lively and friendly, reflecting the authentic character of the western part of the island.
