About the Beach

Kastri is where you go when you want to feel the energy of the wind and the sea. Located on the southeastern tip of Evia, it’s a rugged bay that is famous among windsurfers for the steady breezes that funnel through the area. The beach is a mix of sand and stones, and the water is deep blue and gets deep quickly, offering a very vigorous and waking swim. It isn’t a place for a quiet umbrella and a book; it’s a place for action and feeling the raw power of the Aegean. Even if you aren't a surfer, it’s a beautiful spot to watch the colorful sails fly across the water. There are a few small tavernas nearby where the local food is great, providing a perfect refuge after a day out in the sun and salt.
