Kotsikia is one of those spots that feels like a total exhale. You drive down through the green hills of Northern Evia and find yourself in a deep, horseshoe-shaped bay where the water is so still it looks like glass. It’s not a polished tourist trap; it’s a working harbor for local fishermen, which gives it real character. You’ll see colorful wooden boats anchored just offshore, and the whole place has a slow, lived-in rhythm. The shore is a mix of sand and pebbles smoothed by the sea, and since the mountains wrap around the water tightly, you’re shielded from the choppy Aegean winds. There are just a few tavernas right on the sand where the food is simple and the service feels like being welcomed into someone’s home. It’s rugged, quiet, and feels like a place where time hasn't managed to change much, making it well worth the trip.
