Lefki Beach Elafonisos

Lefki Beach is a hidden and very peaceful little cove on the western side of Elafonisos that is famous for its bright white sand and the incredibly vibrant turquoise color of its water which looks like it has been painted by an artist. It is much smaller than the famous Simos beach, but it is a favorite for people who want to escape the crowds and enjoy a more private experience while looking out at the open sea and the small islands in the distance. The seabed here is covered in fine white sand that makes the water glow when the sun hits it, and because it is tucked away from the main road, it feels very wild and natural with no big shops or noisy umbrellas to ruin the view. It is a fantastic spot for snorkeling along the rocky edges of the cove where you can see lots of small silver fish swimming in the sunlight, and the whole area is surrounded by low bushes and rocky hills that give it a very rugged and beautiful Greek island feeling.
