Mavra Volia Beach is an extraordinary and world-renowned geological landmark situated near the southern port of Emporios featuring a landscape defined by three successive bays covered in smooth, large black pebbles and dark sand created by the prehistoric eruption of the nearby Psaronas volcano which contrasts sharply with the deep, crystalline, and remarkably cold blue waters of the bay in a primitive environment surrounded by tall, imposing cliffs and stark volcanic rock formations that provide a sense of natural grandeur and silence where no commercial organization is allowed to disturb the raw and primeval character of this unique protected site.
