About the Beach

Mesochoria is a wild and impressive place on the eastern side of Southern Evia that really lets you feel the raw power of the Aegean. To get there, you drive down a winding road through a beautiful valley until you hit a shore of large pebbles and deep, dark blue water. Because it faces the open ocean, the air is always fresh and the waves can get quite large, which is exciting if you enjoy a more vigorous swim. The high cliffs surrounding the bay make the whole landscape feel very grand and a bit rugged. There are a couple of small tavernas in the village just above the beach where the food is incredible after a long day in the sun. It’s a fantastic spot for a more adventurous day out in a dramatic setting.
